Hi

I want to buy 3 PK296A2A-SG7.2 motors for my mechmate, and I want to know if they can work with a 63 VDC power supply and g203v drives, and the final question is how long is the diameter of the shaft?? because I want to conect them direct to the pinion and my pinions are 1/2 inch of diameter, can I put these pinions in the shaft of these motors???

How it work if I donīt use the 3:1 reduction?

Thank you, And Sorry for my bad English

Alberto,

The PK296A2A-SG7.2 motor has 1.5mH of inductance if you wire it half-coil. So MAXIMUM voltage is about 40 VDC if the motor is wired half-coil. If you wire the motor bipolar-series, the inductance is 6mH, so you could use a 78VDC power supply; however, wiring a motor bipolar-series greatly reduces the motor's top speed.

I use a 35VDC power supply with my PK296A2A-SGxx motors and I wire the motors half-coil.

The shaft is 1.14-inches long (29mm). and it is 0.5-inches in diameter (12.7mm). Many people use a 1.25-inch or 1.5-inch pitch diameter spur gear with that motor.

You would not use a 3:1 belt drive with that motor. The motor already has a 7.2:1 gear box attached.
