I have a set of teflon washers for the mechmate left over.
They are made to mechmate specs. High quality teflon.
The set consists of 4 ea. 40 x 10 x 2 and 6 ea. 20 x 8 x 2.
I'd like to sell the set for $15 plus shipping. Paypal preferred.

Thanks to Michelg I have been reminded that the car idler uses teflon washers also. I am going to supply the missing washers to the members that have bought sets at no additional cost. I am going to have to charge shipping though. If you have already paid for a set please pm me so I can arrange to get the additional washers to you.

I just got shocked by the huge price increase for Teflon rod. Rod has more than quadrupled in price and there is no way I can make and sell washers at a reasonable price. I am going to do some research to see if I can locate a lower cost material. If I can I will update this thread. Sorry for the bad news...

I have a partial sheet of Kydex on the shelf I am planning to use for washers for machine #2....We'll see how that works.

Most shoe repair shops should be able to order teflon slider sheets for the soles for curling shoes. you can cut the washers out of these.

What about a Crazy Carpet? :)

Kids up here use them to slide down snow covered hills. Very slick plastic sheets.

Crazy carpets are normally HDPE high density polyethylene while teflon is TPFE the two are not the same and the mechanical properties of the teflon are superior in this application.
