I have just made my first part with a part file generated directly out of Autocad using autolisp. Very chuffed. It is still very basic, and I want to keep it that way - ie simple. It is also geared to my cad and shopbot environment. Ultimately my goal is to make something similar to: www.tahlcam.com I did ask them if tahlcam could post to shopbot but it didn't lead anywhere. Why? Though at this stage it is probably as quick to run it through partwiz, I am a bear of little brain, and I like to work in as few environments as possible - each has its own set of rules and approaches, and I find it very easy to trip up changing. Anyone who has done something similar, or would be interested in helping me take it forward, is welcome to contact me, and I will send you all done so far. R. |

Have added spiral and peck hole cutting. Works well and I find it much faster than pw. Next I must sort area clear. R. |

Oh yes. It is in the form of a collection of small lsp files and would need acad full (most versions) or LT with an lsp interpreter. You would need to be lsp savvy, as it needs editing for your settup, but anyone is welcome. The only requirement is that if you make it better, you pass it back. R. |
