Good going there...I like the picture in post#4...on the pants the words FATAL....the person welding with bare feet....now THAT is maybe not fatal, but could be painful sometimes...

Are you sure you have enough space for the machine next to the house....when you have 2 x X-axis steppers hanging on there will it fit ?

Hi, My foot have a carapace that protect it.
The space is just enough for the MM.

I like your Mill opereator. She looks like a good worker. She needs a stool so she can easily work on the Mill.

I thought I didn't have much space. Can you move around on each side with the motors on?

The place is just for make test, betimes move to another place.

Yes, Variable Frequency Driver....0~300hz- Max speed about 16900 rpm.

Kobus, a "spindle" is no more than a standard 3-phase motor with better bearings and a smaller diameter (longer length) rotor to stop it from flying apart at high speed.

Yes, I use it on my first router machine about two years, sometimes change the bearings by better quality.
it is a Siemens standard 3-phase motor 1HP 3420 rpm.

I make a chuck for the ER 16 collet.

Two more things..
1..did you put thread on the motor shaft ? or how did you fix your chuck ?
2.. How many millimeters / inches is that motor in diameter ?

Looked at your movie...what a sweet sound.

the mechmate is the third project .I've learned always.
the motor shaft has a M5 hole, Put a screw inwards of chuck.
the diameter this motor is about 135mm.
