Spindle pre-planning questions
In very general terms, can someone tell me what additional components and complexities there are in the electronics of the machine when using a spindle over a router? I assume the wiring of the spindle itself is a little more complex and it needs the VFD but is that all? Are there more relays, more complex wiring, additional safety concerns (e-stops)?
I still have plenty to read on the subject (hence the pre-planning title) but I wanted to get a general idea. I'm not looking for part number or schematics, just some general info. Thanks, Rick |

Cool, thanks.
The jungle of threads on this topic is quite dense...but that helps -Rick |

Yes, it takes a bit of digging but there is some iteresting reading on spindles in there.
