Make cnc week
Dunno if it will be good, but MAKE has cnc week going over at their blog. Also a contest if anybody wants to participate...

Thanks for sharing. I love all the Maker stuff...the kind of people I would love to sit down with over a beer and share stories and ideas!!!

If you are interested in hanging out with makers, you should see if there is a Hackerspace in your area. There was one in OKC for a while, but it could not get enough financial support and members to keep its doors open. I was a founding donor, but did not have time to really participate. There is one in Tulsa that is doing quite well and manages to have annual mini maker faires.
