Sounds different bipolar unipolar

I used to work with unipolar connection, but I´ve been having some problems with Z motor (sudden fail) and I wanted to try bipolar, my surprise is that sounds different, so...is it normal?

Thanks

Richy,

Bipolar Parallel uses the same voltage, but it has 1.4X as much torque as half-coil and draws 1.4X as much current. That can make the motor sound different.

Bipolar Series uses 2X as much voltage, but it has 1.4X as much torque as half-coil and draws 0.7X as much current as half-coil. That can also make the motor sound different.
