It can go under the machine if . . . . .
- people won't kick it - a broom won't knock off the wires under the box - water won't get there when the shop floods, or you hose down the floor - boards and forklift trucks don't bang into it - it has space for cool air to convect up from the floor, pass the sides of the box, and move away. (musn't form a bubble of warm air under the table surface - somebody does not lean off-cut boards against the control buttons - somebody does not lean off-cut boards against the control box making a blanket and keeping the warm air in. - it does not form a layer of sawdust on top that acts as a soft blanket. - you are young enough to work that low down for trouble-shooting |

Thats why I have to lean to the left before I can look up!. Problem is that my focus point is always wrong with the bi-focals.

Ag fooitog, those kids heard that you go to Plett to spend a night on the tiles - and then they thought it was meant to be the roof tiles!
Hennie, did you know that shebeen comes from the Irish and the word was used in America? Some more info on Plett Rage: http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...=matrics+plett Matriculants are kids who have finished high school, typically aged 18, the age at which they can buy liquor and get driver's licences. And Hennie's beach town (Plettenberg Bay) is where they go and let go. (our school year ends before the summer break, which is this week.) |

I didn`t know from Irish but where I grew up in ( Fietta`s -Vrededorp Jhb) there were a couple of them I know what it is about.Raided a couple of them when I was in the SAP in the early 90`s.
Another week and my town is full of tourists. |

Don't leave Margate on the Kwa-Zulu South Coast out of this matric rage thing..So many kids do stupid things during this time and pay for it the rest of their lives.

Just a note to those from the cold northern hemisphere:
Today, most industrial businesses closed their doors for the summer/Xmas holidays, out here in South Africa. We re-open our factories either 5 or 12 January, some even later. |

Gerald,
Wednesday this week, we had to close our schools for an ice rain storm that went through the area. |

Heath, the first time I read your post, I read:
. . . . . we had to close our schools for an ice cream storm that . . . . that is just our natural association with the word ice here at the beach in summer. |
