is autodesk inventor 10 compatable?

I have autodesk inventor 10 that i have been using to do my designs on. I know that it is very out dated but I am hoping it is still suitable for creating the files nessesary for the router. I am very new at cnc and I have only really used inventor to design the parts then print them off and hand make it. If it's not suitable can someone suggest another program?

As long as it can output DXF files it will work to provide an input for a CAM program (Aspire, Enroute etc)
