My first job

Here is the first sign I ever did with the MechMate. The power of LazyCam.
1/4" Fir plywood painted black and glued/screwed to Sign White Lexan. It looks nice at night with the lights on. 10 feet long.

Looks great, how long did it take you to do this type of job?

I'm not sure what you mean, do you mean cutting time?

John,
Yeah, cutting time, total time to finish any details would be interesting.

It only took about 10 minutes to cut the letters, but the time on the total project was a bit longer as there was 3 coats of paint, some sanding, etc. It took a long time to get the plastic too, I think I waited about a month for that. Assembly was fast, under an hour and the customer was delighted which is a bonus.

As John illustrates, make a sign with a CNC router and then discover that the actual CNC part is just a small part of the process. If you did not have the CNC, the drawing up and sawing of the letters would have been the biggest part.

Great that you had a happy paying customer John!
