Best Pre-Made Z Slide for a ShopBot retro-fit?
I have been wondering how to get my old Shopbot ball screw Z working.
I have the option of a new shopbot Z for 1300 which will just adapt my old strut gantry to the new slider, or get a pre-made slider from K2 or others. I would really just like to get the one I have working better, but I may have to bite the bullet and get something better. Thanks, C99 |

Richard,
Why not build a MM gantry assembly for your shopbot frame? You might be able to reuse some of the shopbot components perhaps to keep costs down. |

I am going to get it running as best I can for now. I plan to upgrade the controller to the Shopbot 4g or a Mach 3 equivalent. Then see where it is at.
