New to This

Hi! I'm new to this. I teach a class using solidworks, and I would like to build the mill so the students can cut out and assemble their works.

Welcome David.
Have a look around, print the plans and start the planning.

Where to go

Thanks for welcoming me!

I will print the plans tomorrow. I am curious. I've seen photos of the on the website, and they all look really good. Is there a kit of prats to build the router, or will I be fabricating all of the parts myself? Also how about the motor drive unit? It that something I will be building or buying? Sorry for all the questions.

David,

You can purchase a set of laser parts from a small number of people. The motors you buy.

Download the plans like you are going to do. Start reading some threads from builders that have machines running. You will pickup on things. We don't mind questions, we just like to see people spend a little time doing some research.

Good luck with your build.
