Hey all I am thinking of making a smaler version of the MechMate to make aircraft parts with. Is there anyone in Virgina that has built the MechMate that I could come see or NC that is close to me.

I am located in Petersburg VA at Ft. Lee.

I would really like to see one up close running and ask some ??? befor I spend money.

Mine -the 01 of 02- is just 8.13´(2450m) X 4.15´ (1250mm) CUTTING AREA but it is a lot more in footprint

So we who building SMALL machines need to... HAHAHHAHAHHAH..

GOOD LUCK with your build AND dont let the comunity force U to build a BIG MM

Take care

Dan: While there is no "standard" size - 4x8 is very common, it is what I built (I assume you mean 4x8 cutting area so it can handle US standard sheet goods.)
