Justin,

Beautiful piece of furniture. The lines and style make for a very elegant table.

Congratulations!

When I first looked at the photo I thought the wood was mahogany, but I'm not great at identifying wood species.

Best regards,

Jeff A

I assumed it is solid, and hence the title I picked for the thread - Justin didn't write the title.

Ok now we know it's REAL wood, but how did you do the skirt. Steam bending or cutting slots on the backside to get it to curve.

Ah, so Kobus's hunch was right. Is there any solid cherry in there at all?

Nothing wrong with that, still looking good, just don't chip a corner. REAL wood will take more punches than this combination. I have never tried to VENEER parts like this. Is it difficult to do at home ?
