tool path question

Hi all
I dont really know where the correct place to post a question is in this forum, but I was wondering how you can draw fairly complex 3d shape in cad and then it is converted into some form of toolpath. Is that g code or is it done manually.

Regards Neil

Pos,

Normally, you use a 3D modeling program like Rhino, Inventor, or Solidworks to draw the complex 3D shape. Once you have the drawing, a 3D CAM program will draw the tool paths and generate the G Code for you.
