No, they cannot spin either way . . . .

On removing the bearings, it was discovered that the screwed-in bearing retainers (3 of them) are "handed" so that the spindle doesn't spill its guts when rotating normally. 2 out of the 3 retainers have left-hand threads for the clockwise turning spindle.

Hi i would like to know if anyone have used the elte spindles and what they think about it i am looking at the 3hp single phase 200v

ELTE TMPE3 12/2 220V 300 HZ for 18,000 RPM 3 HP for ER25 Collets with
balanced nut.
