Dust Collection Through Stiffener Tube?
I was curious if anyone has worked with using the stiffening tube for the purpose of routing dust through it, instead of what seems to be the traditional option of using the back side of the spider.
Comments/suggestions? |

You want the dust tube to be at least 4" in diameter. If you plan to make the stiffening tube as you call it 4", then that will work fine.

Are you talking about the 1" x 2" vertical back bone to the 4" ground steel vee grooved plate?
Sounds problematic. (small cross section, not smooth) |

It was more something I was curious about. Having a 4" hose leading to it would give it rather significant airspeed, which I think is probably more important than air volume, given the application. I am going to experiment with some different setups and see what happens.
