An Australian friend lost his workshop and 40 yrs of tools . . .
Appimate is low-profile member here (appicnc at cnczone) and he has made donations as well. Here are extracts from two PM's received from him recently:
On 18 April: ". . . today is my 34th wedding anniversary, 1975 seems so far away now! . . . " Today: ". . .on Thursday night my garage burnt down, a spark from a welder had smouldered for 2-3 hours before we saw the fire by which time we had a total loss. I'm not sure you know this but I am a builder ( domestic ) I lost 40 years of tools, 2 cnc routers and everything else, the only tool I have left is a brickies lump hammer. So I guess I'll be a lurker for a bit longer, thanks again . . ." Words fail me in expressing my feelings on this |
