How about cutting the power from the transformer to the rectifier instead? The reason I ask is because this would allow the transformer to have power which would supply 12/24v on the secondary coils...

Why do you need an aluminum plate as the heatsink for the geckos? Wouldn't the steel back plate that everything mounts on work as a heatsink?

Checked with them, turns out that the ÖLFLEX CLASSIC 115Y is an inexpensive cable compared to the ÖLFLEX CLASSIC 110Y that they stock. There is also ÖLFLEX 120CH which is a fraction less expensive....
