Your photos do not show it but the original spider had a hard stop incorporated into the design.
The stop makes sure the Z axis can not be ejected from the top of the Y Car.

The machine is looking really great, I'm sure you have lots of fun ahead.

The TB650 and TB6600 boards work OK but it is advisable to keep the total power per axis you feed into them...
