For good measure, Register-Cleaner your Win XP. check the parallel port before you pull...

now its pointing at your driver & up stream, maybe the BOB, LPT cable & LPT port.

No experience with Gecko 203... I use economical drivers.

you can do without the SSR & use a magnetic coil contactor for the dust collector, & wire a remote push button to active the contactor. Easy, economical, reliable & conventional.

BUT evaporative cooler doesn't work well here, our wet temp is 25~26C so can nly get 26~28C from the cooler... I'll be better...

Good to know you are back on your feet.
You made a good choice to build the table up-side down, a lot safer & less back-breaking. Just make sure you have enough hands & pay extra safety precautions...

Russel, I use ribbon cables between my BOB & the Drivers, excellent space saver, extremely flexible. lay it close to a grounded chassis & you have a shielded cable made.
