One system controlling two tables?
Is it possible or practical to use one computer, PSU and set of drivers/BOB to run two different tables (NOT simultaneously)
I'm thinking along the lines of a multipin switch or several relays (or even some sort of home made knife switch) that would switch between one set of motors and the other ..... Is this crazy? Even as a short term solution? Would sure cut down on costs... Thanks, Mark |
Mark, it's probably not crazy if you use a series of connectors. Moving four motor connectors and say two sensor and switch connectors from one table to another should take less time than loading the material onto the table and fastening it down.

I'd be able to save separate profiles on the computer for each table, correct? One for the plasma table and another for the router table?
Thanks, Mark |
You certainly can with EMC2, I don't know for Mach3, but I'd be shocked if you couldn't.

Mark,
That is exactly how I set up our table and others in the past in Mach MM - router.xml file MM - plasma.xml file MM - indexer.xml file Make as many as you want for the setups you do most often. |
