Fastening the racks to the underside of the rails

Hi everyone, if I'm reading the drawings correctly they specify that the x racks be though bolted on the ends and held on to the rails with double faced tape along their entire length. Does that sound correct? Has anyone experienced any problems with this method of fastening the rails, just curious.

You are reading the plans correctly. If you use the recommended tape, it works like a champ. Search this forum for past discussions and you'll find more information on the subject.

That tape holds stuff pretty good. It is amazing stuff. They are using similar products to hold a lot of stuff together on new cars and trucks.
