Setting up E-Stop and Limit Switches in Mach3

I try to understand E-stop and limit switches. Yes, I finish wire a small machine and installed limit switches.

Every time the gantry trips the limit switch and it also trigger the E-stop LED on the Mach3, is this normal?

I will check into the wiring tomorrow but if trigger the E-stop that meant it cuts all power to the drives and how can you do auto home?

thanks

My head is a bit muggy after a 13hour flight, but the e-stop should be wired independent of the limit/home switches.

I check out the limit switches today, all the switches are installed independent. I also checkout the Machsupport video on the subject of input and homing/limit.

Ok, after recheck again the wiring and everything is should be. EXCEPT one thing I revere the pin number from X-- and X++ in the setup.

Also I have to lower the home reference speed to 15% of home/limiting setting.

Now everything run as it should but need more tuning.
