Hello.
A report of my project with a modification of the skate. |
Welcome aboard. It seems to be nice weather out there in this time of year.:)
|
The time is beautiful but a cyclone (named BERGUITTA) threatens us at the moment.
|
Welcome aboard!

Yannick,
I see you've been around about 5 years. Congratulations on your decision to build a MechMate and on your progress so far. Regarding the skate. Do I see bolt ends at the far left and far right of the photo? When I used a similarly designed skate, the bolts that rode the top of the rail "wore" to the point that my depth of cut was affected. Thus the grinding wheel became more aggressive on subsequent passes. After noticing this, I found that I had to keep adjusting the bolts as they wore. To remedy this, later designs of the skate placed bearings where you have bolts so the bearings could ride the top of the rail. The bearings don't wear as you make your passes resulting in better control of the depth of cut. |
john,
you are right. the bolts affect the top of the rail but as I finished the rails. I did not notice or forget that the skateboard was planned for 115mm and not for the 125mm discs. |

I just stopped by to check on you, Yannick. I am hoping good progress for you.
|
I moved forward on the construction. All the axes work. But at the moment I have difficulty with mach3.

If you post a little bit of problem, I help search on here for a solution. "Lots of really talented people, have posted good information. It is just hard to find."

hello Davey, i have seen this video before. It's not the same model but the parameters seems to be the same when i compare with the user manual of my model (downloaded because the user manual delivered with the vfd is in chinese).
In manual mode it work very well. |
Did you switched parameters from inverter menu to change command source?
P0.01 from 0 to 1 keyboard to terminal control P 0.03 from 0 to 1 to control ferquency instead keyboard 0-10v source https://www.manualslib.com/manual/82...page=21#manual pages 20-21 |
hello Ivo
Yes i have changed the command source. i see variation on the vfd screen, when i jog 0-10v with the breakout board software. i found 24v between S1 and DCM and variation when i measure between VI and ACM . I found 24 V between S1 and DCM when i activate the relay but i also found 24v when the relay is not select !! and ACM and DCM are connected to 0V on my bob (all 0V on Bob are connected). |
