I havent tracked down the exact cataloge numbers yet but wanted to ask : What else might I be missing that can come from Mcmaster?

Take a look at JR's build and you will find a spreedsheet. Thanks

Go to http://www.msnusers.com/ncmechmate/d...nw?fc_a=0&fc_p= there you will see a link to a spreadsheet, the info about the cable chain is in it, lines 13, 14, 16, 17. thanks J.R. ps when I double click the spreadsheet link it opens up.

Charlie,

You might want to check the list I posted on my personal thread. It isn't all inclusive but rather includes some things I used to build my control box.

Just a note for Canadian builders, I just put together an order for McMaster Carr and submitted it, and their export guy emailed me with this:

"Thank you for your order. Unfortunately, due to the ever increasing complexity of United States export regulations, McMaster-Carr can only process orders from a few long-established customers in Canada. We sincerely regret any inconvenience this causes you. "

So I am looking for another supplier to replace these guys.

Parts in Canada are difficult to find and very marked up if you find them.
Good luck

Thanks for the info Larry,

I have been having a very hard time sourcing parts in Canada. I can't seem to find anything up here. Somebody should let these companies know that people do in fact like to shop online.

Thanks again,
John

I've got a place in Lexington, Michigan and a boat. I could meet you half way across Lake Huron and you could have the first ever Mamba built with smuggled parts!:D

**edited** my geography is a little off but I could meet one of your fellow Canadians and they could ship it the rest of the way :) **end of edit**

Charlie, sorry I don't mean to steal your thread, but I need to respond to Craig's offer.

Hi Craig
I live in Leamington which is about 40 minutes from Detroit. I may take you up on your offer and have McMaster parts shipped to you and then I would come over and pick them up. May be I could see your MechMate as well.
Do you have the laser cut parts yet? I ordered two sets. They are at a shop getting bent right now so I don' know the final cost yet. If you are interested we could discuss it once the final cost comes in.
