Irfan,
Looks like you are really getting good with the MM. Very nice! :)

Thanks Heath

I can't help but giggle at the number of times we have seen Irfan's toes in pictures . . :)

Still a nice frame though.

For "half-rounding" we find that a router table (motor hung under) is better than a CNC - it makes the depth control easier.

javeria Sun 23 August 2009 06:58

:D if you get the hang of doing the half rounding on the cnc - nothing like it.

Gerald D Sun 23 August 2009 07:10

It is not a case of getting the hang of it, it is a case of getting perfectly consistent board thickness. We will talk again after you have finished an order for 200 frames . . . . . . .

KenC Mon 24 August 2009 04:59

Gerald, you mean to say that you use router table to finish off some of your orders?

Gerald D Mon 24 August 2009 05:57

Yes. But only for doing the quarter-rounding. It is much more cost & time efficient this way.

Beautiful work Irfan. Can I ask where you got / get those swirls and patterns you cut into the frame? Or do you generate them yourself? If so can you advice me how it is done?
Thanks,
Keith

No Keith, i find those patterns on the internet, where I don't exactly remember !

I just use a quarter pattern, work on the vectors then mirror them around.

Thanks for that info Javeria, I guess I will start looking too.

I note with interest that the posting from Artline3D was moved, probably because it was advertising not sharing. Was the posting deleted or simply moved to another location? If it was moved where would I find it again please?

Thanks
