question on y-rail stops

Quick question on the y rail stop blocks. The plan shows that they are not drilled and threaded for the adjustable bolts. Is that correct? No adjustment on those? drawing #10 20 240

Correct, there is no adjustment on those. The y-car is too narrow to have squaring issues. Stops on y-motor side only.

Missed that note on the drawing. I installed adjustable stops on my y axis too. Now I have a pretty threaded stops! It was a stop making frenzy of a day. I guess I got too excited about my new thread tapping head fixture for the drill press and wanted use it all day!

I thought that threaded stops for the y-rail would be too tall and the car would catch on them?

That is 100% true if you build to the correct rail height.
I actually built the rails to a 1.2 inch height and had the clearance - just barely. I don't recommend others try it. One of those small things I have been keeping to myself. :)

let's see...you checked the drawing and then noticed I didnt follow the plans perfectly. Then looked at my production photos and saw that I actaully modified the endstops by making them 3/8 shorter to clear the cAr? Or...your superpowers could see it through the forums supersecret x-rayodule ;)
