Hasse, could you show more details on how your table is bolted together? It looks very neat.

Hasse,

Nice looking machine. Logo in solid blue.

From your photo it does not appear that you have attached the rail? Yes, how did you bolt it together!

It seems that Garage is the obvious birth place for most MM's :)
Nice work Hasse.

Hi Hasse, it is still dark outside that window - how far north are you?

Your MM looks like it belongs in a hospital surgery - nothing wrong with that! Looking forward to hearing about its first cuts. :)

From what looks like sawdust on the far rail and cuts in the spoil board, I would say with a few logos this man needs a serial #????? Am I right :p or wrong :(?

Nice spotting JR . . . . and there is a logo on the side of the Y-car! He gets #14

Thank you all
The bottle is for the modified gasspring, with a bicycle pump i can adjust the
gasspring to the weight of the spindle

3195

Added by Gerald:

Modifying a gas spring is a dangerous experiment!

A typical gas spring holding 15kg on its 8mm rod is charged to 30 bars (400psi) Do not saw it open to see what is inside!

The reduction is made of gear wheels from angle grinders.

That is some VERY clever stuff!

Are you happy with the overall performance of those Nema 23 steppers? (What is the gear ratio?)

OK Hassee - since we already see those gears working for you - I am presuming you have thought over the backlash issue - let us know more on how you have countered it -

when I hold a grinder in hand and turn the wheel I can see a considerable amount of backlash - so I am a bit eager to know more on these gearboxes - also can you share the design of these -

Hello Gerald , Irfan
Yes its dangerous i used a broken gasspring with no pressure in it and
replaced the piston in the cylinder with one with a rubber o-ring
the cylinder is 18 mm that makes 6 bars to hold 15 kg
The motors and gearboxes is used only 10 min so i cant say if they vork well
the gear ratio is 3:1 hopefully i will make some dust tomorrow, sorry about my English i hope you understand
