Hey Guys,
Thought that I would try to tap into all of the experience here.
I just recently purchased a Bridgeport mill, first time I used it..and the motor burned out on me
Anyway, I got a good deal on a nice used motor to replace it..here my question.
The motor is missing the start capacitor, so how do I go about sizing one?
It is a Dayton 1 1/2 HP, running at 220v, @ 10.5 amps.
I have been reading and it seems the capacitor voltage should be at 1 1/2 times the line voltage. But not much info on the capacitance?
Does anyone have any thoughts or input?
Thanks
Mark
