Don't know if they are perfect until you drive a MM with them.

Those drives are Schneider Electric http://www.imshome.com/products/drivers_panel_mounted.html

IM483 is 48 VDC, 3.0 amps RMS
IM805 is 75 VDC, 5.0 amps RMS

IM483 is in G540 / G250 range and IM805 in G203V range.

Hello Nils...

I guess you are right... You will never know until you drive a REAL MechMate with them!
The idea that they would be perfect for a budget builder was just my opinion. My build is very very similar to a MechMate in a lot of ways and I dont have any problems with these drives. :-)

I don't normally post here because I feel I am out of my league but while I am here....

I would like to Thank Gerald, Metalhead, and all the other MechMate builders for all the wonderful info posted on this forum over the years. I've visited this forum everyday for around three years and it is GREAT!! This forum is what gave me the ability to build a profitable machine and I am very greatful. Thanks! :-)
