I have been a toolmaker/cnc machinist for twenty years and have been thinking about building a cnc router. About how much does a machine cost to build. Iam would like a machining envelope of 48" on X, 24" on Y, and 6" on Z. Are parts easy to find?

Welcome to the group. Just keep reading and searching the threads. These questions are covered in detail and will vary depending on how much you want to add to the machine. Average is about 6K USD. Most of that is in the electrics
