Here’s another thought….
A laser MechMate ….. Why not :D
What would it take to make it happen ?
Thanks, Robert

- arc / beam controller
- vapor hood
- BIG power 100amp/3Phase/208V - min
- eye safe environment
- able to receive shielding gas in large quantities (like a pallet based cascade)
.....more I can't think of right now.

= Big bucks if your trying to "laser cut" more than thin birch plywood and super lightweight metals.

But it could be useful for fine engraving I would think. Putting the laser next to the router, do your engraving and then cut it out with the router.....is this possible Sean ?

Very possible if your engraving and not cutting. A lot of affordable options. Just be mindful of eyewear and reflections.

Kobus, right up my alley. It’s an eventual option I had in mind for some time…..but like you guys notice, I’m in no rush when it come to build things out of my line & time of work ;)

Hi Robert, let's see who gets it working between the two of us....you are slow, but might have better access to getting stuff in Canada.

I am maybe faster, but have to import these things from far far away....

The playing field is now even.;)
