So i have a small lathe right now, its not in front of me at this time will post a picture later tomorrow. My question is if it would be a good choice to use the lathe as my indexer for my MM by replacing its drive motor with the same motor (except a belt version) (my MM to be motors are geared i think..) i am using for my MM build? Any thoughts welcome :)

I thought i would take the towers off and make a unit that bolted to the table with a lower profile. I am then thinking i can add a stepper motor with a belt drive or gear and chain maybe? Hopefully this picture posted new to picture posting

Greetings Mojo

Have a look at this guy on YouTube, he has a working 4th axis based upon the wood lathe you have.

I like this setup. I have purchased it also and will be testing it. But I think the cable to the BOB needs to be the long one. (The site shows the short one)

As long as we are on the topic of Drives and BOBS. :)

I now have two different Heatsinks I am selling.

First one is the standard "4 in a row" Heatsink for 4 Gecko Drives.
5-3/8 x 12 with 3/8 inch plate and 1 inch tall fins.

HSS01 is $79.00 Delivered in the lower 48 states.

Second one is for the "3 by 3" if folks are running the PMDX-126
and PMDX-133 boards(Or just want two rows of Gecko Drives). You get two heatsinks in this kit. Each is 5-3/8 x 9 with 3/8 inch plate and 1 inch tall fins.

HSD01 is $94.00 Delivered in the Lower 48 States.

Let me know (PM) if you want one of these sets.
