I never look for just the lowest price tools, but WOW, a 2.2Kw water cooled Spindle (with German bearings) and a Huanyang HY-05D5 inverter for $423!

So, with shipping that comes to the price of 2 Milwaukee routers.

If anyone was on the fence about the whole router/spindle debate, I think this could be the push that puts you over the edge:

I am seriously thinking of getting a similar spindle, the 4KW air cooled unit,
I was wondering if any one has one of these or similar, to comment on how it is working, of all the things I have read I have not seen a negative report yet,
I was also wondering if mach can control the VFD on these units, I have asked for more info but no reply yet
thanks//chopper

It is still my opinion that whatever the somewhat VERY INTERESTING low price on these Chinese spindles, your still in better with a simple router set up for starters.
Simple, no VFD complication setting to start.
Yes, anyone will admit a spindle will always outperform a router, but will also add additional stress on you & set up to get thing working for any newbee to the CNC world !!
KEEP it as simple as you can as a new start, minimize pitfall if your MechMate is a new CNC venture. When everything rolls fine, you’re comfortable with all mechanics, electronics & software function, then like anything else, you will naturally want to upgrade to improve if needed. One thing for sure, you will be in a better position to see if it is needed only after some time, that is if it is your 1st CNC venture that is !! ;)

Isn't there already a thread about this eBay offer?

Isn't there already a thread about this eBay offer?

The other thread was in Euros and was more money for us in the USA.

This one deceptively states its location as Hong Kong, United States - but I assume it's HK because of the $90 shipping from EMS.

This is the other thread: Found this Spindle...please comment (http://www.mechmate.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1882)

The e-Bay Offer there is:

Compared to your find which is:

Looks the same thing to me, slightly different dollar prices

Yep, looks like the German eBay listing charges more money for some reason.

The USA listing also says you can "Make Offer", maybe I'll try $375 and see if they bite.

PS: I also liked the expired certificate, certifying them for medical equipment near the bottom of the page.

you mean the FAKE certificate?

Take a look at the differences between the company name and the rest of the typography

I wonder how German their German bearings are...

They are probably just German quality, made in china. With a 100% goldenique finish. :)
