Irfan, I think we are going to need a little more info. What kind of power you have coming in and what vfd you have.

I dont know what electrical codes you have in your country but usually Grounds are suppose to be Green or Green/Yellow.

What is under all electrical tape in the bottom left? It also looks like you have 2 loose wires that come in with the control wire. Might want to clip them and heat shrink over.

Lastly and this could be dependant on your VFD. but usually they dont want anything above or below the unit. Basically they should be mounted on their own and not in a box. It has to do with the cooling of the VFD. Just make sure you have the clearance for cooling.

Box mounting is OK as long as the VFD can breath. We would need to know where the incoming wires come from and the outgoing wires are going to.

I agree on the colored wire for input side. Typically ground wires are green.

If you do not have access to a lot of different wire. At least try to get the green wire so you know what your grounds are. Very easy to smoke stuff when you confuse the ground wire.

1. Have single phase AC coming in(220V) at the top thru an EMI filter -
2. I used the available wire (I bought a single bundle of 3 sq mm wire) for ground,
3. i have connected ground wire to the shielding of the wire going to the vfd and the red insulation tape over it. it also covers the ferrite core over which the 3 wires going out to the spindle are wound.
4. the loose wire's were later on connected to vfd
5. The manual states that the VFD needs 50mm on top and below for air flow and thats been taken care of

I know its supposed to be green wire - but - since I was the only one handling the whole thing -

may be i need to switch to - well - some day I will change it.

Check the manual of VFD for single phase 220V input, mine had to be connected phase on L1 and neutral N on L3 connector not L2 but it could be different between manufacturers.

L2 or L3 on these boxes just sets the motor turn direction. ie - if when you hook it up the motor is not turning the correct direction switch L2/L3.

Is that true on the incoming side (L)? I thought that applied to the motor side (V). The L just gets rectified to DC, doesn't it?
