I wonder if it is normal to motors to heat up when power is on and motors are not working.

Dear Richy,

Do you mean the stepper motors, If yes the stall current required by the stepper heats the motor & it is common for the stepper to run warm. You need not worry.

They must heat up, but they must heat up very slowly.

If you have forgotten to set the current limit on the drive, they could get dangerously hot and damage the motors. The most important thing is to be sure that you have set the drive current limit correctly.

Thanks Vishnu and Gerald, my soul is coming back to me now. My steppers run 5 A current and for g203v is 117,5k and I took 100k bipolar series connection
