The idea is to keep this forum as readable as possible, to exchange technical information, with the focus being the build of a machine. The people and the personalities involved must take a back seat. That is why I have adopted a policy of no avatars, signatures or mottoes that get repeated every time a particular person posts.
I don't mind a person putting their name at the end of a post (even though it is already on top), but please no other info about yourself. Definitely no links to your website (you can put that in your profile).
In other words, don't try and add profile info to each post.
Another important reason for all of this is to cut the physical length of pages on the screen. Makes for less scrolling with old fingers. (This also a reason for limiting the use of "quotes")
