Don,
That logo looks pretty impressive, considering the size. What gearing are you using on your motors? How was the aluminum to cut? What type of bit?

Domino,
the gearing is 7.2, with rails made on a bench grinder.
The bits are printed circuit board bits from Ebay.
I had cut a couple out of plastic laminate and just had to see if the MechMate would do aluminum.

Is that coin about an inch in diameter?

Yes Gerald about 1 inch.
I have smaller bits order.

Your design allows small imperfections in the rails not to be a problem.

Doc,
Good to see you back in the post.
I concur, I have done some small aluminum (okay 1/2" thick bar stock 6061T variety) with multiple passes and all worked well. The MM had no problem with 1/8" depth passes w/ 1/4" spiral up Ti coated bit. Occasional spritz of "dry spray lubricant" shot on bit - but not constant.
